Ryan McCoy

I grew up going to art schools in sacramento, always drawing and constructing robots and fantasy worlds in the computer. I moved to the San francisco area for 3D animation college, making the "Reanimator" short film as my final project. A few months later I was offered a job in LA to do Pre-visual Animation for big budget feature films; A position where I would help the director and production heads problem solve complicated action scenes. It was like computer animated storyboards that were optically accurate to the camera and lenses they would use. I did this for five years traveling with different productions to new mexico, montreal, hawaii and prague.

I'm still based in LA and have now embraced my desire to direct videos full time. I have a tendency to make very conceptually driven videos and am constantly struggling to create unique and visually interesting content.
