Now in it’s sixth year, the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival (SAICFF) has established itself as the premiere Christian film festival, and gives away the largest single cash prize of any film festival in the US – secular or Christian. Each year a check for $101,000 is awarded to the Best of Festival Jubilee Award winner.

“Our mission is not to infiltrate Hollywood, nor merely to temper its distasteful agenda, but to replace it altogether. We are about the business of building a replacement industry—one that is distinctively Christian in message and methodology,” noted Doug Phillips, founder and president of the SAICFF. “We seek to reward those filmmakers who best communicate a Christian worldview with artistic excellence through their work.”

In addition to the festival, the SAICFF hosts the Christian Filmmakers Academy: a three-day intensive bootcamp which offers filmmakers world-class training in scriptwriting, lighting, camera operation, post-production, sound, marketing and many other aspects of filmmaking.
