I just completed over six years at BBDO, including 4 years on the Bank of America account, creating multiple integrated campaigns for that client and others. As throughout the rest of my career, I was a hands-on art director as well as a pretty decent copywriter.
Over the course of my career, I have held positions with the flagship offices of three global agencies: BBDO, JWT and McCann Erickson, as well as a key outpost of a foreign based agency in Dentsu, and an agency far ahead of it’s time in Chiat Day.
As a result, I’ve worked in a wide variety of account categories including automotive, packaged goods, financial services, business to business, communication technologies, OTC and prescription drugs, and alcoholic beverages.
In my last two staff positions I’ve enjoyed working on very topical assignments. At BBDO, I worked on Bank of America for four years before and during the height of the economic crisis. At McCann Erickson I developed a campaign for the State Department addressing Muslims throughout the world after 9/11, and created the first two ad campaigns for ExxonMobil after their merger. These campaigns led to obtaining additional assignments and billings without a review. At JWT I played with several iconic packaged goods brands such as Trident, Halls, and Lipton. Weiss Whitten Stagliano gave me the opportunity to lead a successful creative pitch for the Barnes and Noble account. During my time at Chiat/Day, I worked in Jay Chiat’s famous/infamous “virtual office.” The experience was truly inspirational. Here I created two spots in the award winning “Mr.K” campaign for Nissan, while working on both the Nissan and Infiniti accounts.
I live in Manhattan with my wife and son, coach his Little League baseball, speak Italian, visit my wife’s childhood home of Hawaii every year, love comics and bleed Yankees’ pinstripe blue.
