I am a musician and sound artist working across improvisation, sound recording, performance and installation. My work is concerned with exploring acoustic phenomena and developing haptic relationships to sounding objects and spaces – sound reproduction and recording being key in the articulation of these spatial relationships. My compositions attempt to isolate phenomena within a nexus of sonic and acoustic activity, drawing attention to complexity both on the micro- and macro-levels.
I have performed across the UK and in Europe, and have recordings released with Another Timbre, Consumer Waste, Cathnor Recordings and Organized Music from Thessaloniki, with forthcoming releases on Copy for Your Records and Notice Recordings. I am a member of the Set Ensemble and co-curate the Consumer Waste record label and Empty Orchestra curatorial project. I hold a Masters Degree with Distinction in Time-based Art Practices from Dartington College of Arts where I also studied BA Music Composition with Frank Denyer.
