South Australian Museum
The South Australian Museum is a jewel in the North Terrace Cultural Precinct of Adelaide. One of the few free museums in Australia, we are internationally recognised for the breadth of our collections and quality of our research.
Five floors of permanent galleries feature the world's largest collection of Australian Aboriginal material, Ediacaran fossils, opalised fossils, sparkling minerals, striking Pacific Cultures artefacts, a comprehensive Mawson collection, megafauna, and the stunning South Australian Biodiversity Gallery.
