Sarah Katz has worked in television production as a Producer, Shooter, Associate Producer, Researcher and Operations Technician for eleven years. She has credits on over forty documentaries for the History Channel, National Geographic Television, Biography, Planet Green, and Investigation Discovery. She most recently worked with the National Black Programming Consortium on their four part PBS series, DC Met, Investigation Discovery’s Who the Bleep Did I Marry?, and History’s Modern Marvels. Over her career, Sarah has successfully gained access to famous filmmakers, actors, historians, oceanographers, and soldiers for shows like Deep Sea Detectives on History, Alien Deep for Nat Geo and Twisted Fate for Biography. Sarah received a Masters of Fine Art in Film from American University in 2009 and received Guy P. Gannett journalism scholarships from the Maine Community Foundation for each year of her studies. In addition to freelancing, she is currently producing her own documentary, Moosehead’s Wicked Good Plan, with fiscal sponsorship from Women in Film and Video. Sarah spent most of her life in Maine but has also lived in Zimbabwe, France, and of course, Washington, DC.
