Sasha Gilbert Wortzel is a media artist and educator based in Brooklyn working in film/video, installation, and sound. Currently she is the director of STARLITE, a documentary feature about the eviction and historical erasure of Brooklyn’s oldest Black-owned LGBT friendly bar, the Starlite Lounge. She makes interactive installations out of charming junk with physical computing and computer programming, and produces a weekly radio show titled Romantic Friendship. In her free time, she likes to play the accordion and read graphic novels.
