Stephen Boatright
Stephen was born in Savannah, Georgia, a place whose beauty and history led him, while still very young, to look at the world through a lens. One of his earliest memories is using his mother's point-and-shoot camera to frame shots of his toys around the house. And as a wise man once said, "The boy never grows up. The toys just get more expensive."
Now a nationally published entertainment photographer by trade, Stephen has had the rare opportunity to travel the world and shoot some of the most interesting and talented people in the entertainment industry. He has also worked with such major record labels as Columbia, Jive and Warner Brothers, television networks like MTV, and several of the world's top fashion designers, including Karl Lagerfeld, Elie Saab and Christian Lacroix.
As a filmmaker, he has produced, directed and shot several short films and in 2010, he co-founded the creative collective, St. Jake, along with partners Kevin Joiner and Jason McMahan. In early 2011, they completed the existential, crime-comedy web-series, "A Conversation While...". They are now in development on an exciting new large scale web-series project which will be announced soon.
Stephen currently lives in Greenville, South Carolina, where his studio is located about 100 yards from the building where he took his first post-college temp job. But in the years between those two neighboring offices, he made his way through such iconic cities as Nashville, New York City and Paris. He is also a newlywed and his wife Michele is an incredible cook. Trust him – waistlines don't lie.
