Scottish Ballet is Scotland's national dance company. With classical influences meeting modern dance styles, the Company presents a wide range of high-quality dance to audiences across Scotland, the UK and abroad.
Scottish Ballet has a diverse, vibrant repertoire, ranging from new versions of the classics (The Nutcracker, Cinderella), through to seminal pieces from 20th century modern ballet repertoire, including work by George Balanchine and Frederick Ashton, and extending into signature pieces by living choreographers such as William Forsythe, Hans van Manen and Siobhan Davies. The Company is also keen to explore new pieces and regularly premieres work in Scotland.
Scottish Ballet believes in pushing the boundaries of dance, with recent productions breaking away from the traditional image of ballet by using music from contemporary artists.
