Sean Huze was born in a small town in Mississippi, grew up in Baton Rouge, LA, and then relocated to Los Angeles, CA in the late 1990s to pursue a career as an actor. After the September 11, 2001 attacks, Mr. Huze put his dreams on hold and continued his family’s proud military tradition of serving our nation.
Sean enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He deployed with 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion in 2003 and was part of the invasion of Iraq. Honorably discharged in 2005, Huze returned to Los Angeles where he enjoyed a career as a playwright (The Sandstorm, Weasel, and The Wolf) and actor (In the Valley of Elah, Green Zone, The Next Three Days).
In 2010, thanks to Louisiana’s innovative and aggressive film production incentives, he returned home with his family. Pursuing a career in film and television was inconceivable in Louisiana just over a decade ago, but now the state has solidified its position as the film and television production capital of the Southeast (aka “Hollywood South”)! Sean Huze continues to work as a writer and actor, but production and film financing have emerged as strengths as well. The latter are his primary focus as CEO/President of Sandstorm Productions, Inc.
