Born and raised in San Antonio, Sean moved to Austin for college and didn’t leave. His career as a television producer began in 2006 with APD: An In-Depth Profile, a 30 minute look at the controversies surrounding a series of shootings by Austin Police officers. The video was used as a training tool in the Austin Police Academy and as a part of the curriculum of a government course at Austin Community College.

From there, Sean created and produced the interactive documentary series Docubloggers: Life in Central Texas for KLRU-TV, Austin PBS. The series garnered interest from PBS stations around the country and received a Lone Star Emmy Award and several nominations. Sean shared the series concept as a panelist at the 2007 PBS Development Conference, and later teamed up with national PBS to produce coverage of the 2009 SXSW festival. In 2010, Sean brought Docubloggers to local Austin cable station ME-Television for daily coverage of SXSW that culminated in a 30 minute special.

Since the conclusion of Docubloggers, Sean has worked as an independent producer with clients like the University of Texas’ $3 billion Campaign for Texas, the Mobile Film School, Lights Camera Help Film Festival, and various other projects, blogs, and organizations.
