well if you did it, it would rock ;) still, desktop uploader is high in my personal most wanted list too, so for the moment I'm just fine with that being released sometime, hopefully soon :D

i might suggest you pinnacle (€69 to 129), sony vegas (€42 to 652) or magix video pro x (see http://vimeo.com/blog:211 - it has direct-to-vimeo export too now ;) $229/299) which are relatively unexpensive or, if you are a student, a student version of adobe premiere pro cs4 (which is $349 in the US or €399 in EU - but in the latter case you spend €299 for the whole CS4 so it's definitely stupid getting Premiere alone). as perrone correctly said, you must be more specific to help helpers :D
