Here's a sampling of films made by Film School students -- as well as films made by recent alums, and films that give you some of the feel of what we're about. We encourage you to like our channels and find out more about our department (chaired by acclaimed director Chris Eyre) by checking out our Facebook page, our Flickr photo sets and our Scribd script archive, along with The Film School's program at our university website.
Students of The Film School at Santa Fe University of Art and Design are active members of a creative community. Either they are knee deep in all aspects of Film production (digital, directing, screenwriting, animation, and much more), or they are analyzing and learning from films. They pull knowledge from the new and the classic, the innovative and the unique.
The campus was the first in the nation to host a professional film studio, our own Garson Studios. This provides a unique opportunity for students to not only have access to professional level sets, but also to intern on projects and gain real world experience while making important contacts for their future. Some notable films include: TRUE GRIT, COWBOYS AND ALIENS, NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, GAME CHANGE, ALL THE PRETTY HORSES, and many others. A&E's highest-rated series ever, LONGMIRE, just completed shooting its second season at Garson Studios -- and will be returning in 2014, opening up a new host of internships for Film School students.
