Here's a sampling of films made by Film School students -- as well as films made by recent alums, and films that give you some of the feel of what we're about. We encourage you to like our channels and find out more about The Film School (chaired by acclaimed director Chris Eyre) by checking out our Facebook page, our Flickr photo sets and our Scribd script archive, along with The Film School's program at our university website.
Students of The Film School at Santa Fe University of Art and Design are active members of a creative community, collaborating with other art school departments and developing unique, original projects. Of special note is The Film School's Shoot the Stars initiative, which brings in Hollywood name talent to topline student written, directed, shot, produced and edited films.
The campus was the first in the nation to host a professional film studio, our own Garson Studios. This provides a unique opportunity for students to not only have access to professional level sets, but also to intern on projects and gain real world experience while making important contacts for their future. Some notable films include: TRUE GRIT, COWBOYS AND ALIENS, NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, GAME CHANGE, ALL THE PRETTY HORSES, and many others. A&E's highest-rated series ever, LONGMIRE, is now shooting its third season at Garson Studios. Already, a number of students have launched their professional careers through internships with these productions. In 2014, the campus added a second television series in production: MANHATTAN, premiering on WGN America in Summer 2014.
