Shane has made guest appearances on PLEASE LIKE ME, RUSH, DANGEROUS REMEDY, CONSPIRACY 365, AUSTRALIA ON TRIAL, CITY HOMICIDE, KILLING TIME, NEIGHBOURS, TANGLE AND SATISFACTION.
Shane won Best Support Actor MUFF 2009 for his work in the independent feature ERASER CHILDREN. LAST BEAUTIFUL FRIEND, in which Shane plays the lead, won Most Daring and Innovative VCA Film in 2009, it was a nominee in the 2010 Australian Directors Guild Awards and was also on Official Selection at Clermont-Ferrand in 2010. Another short in which Shane plays the lead, DRAINMAN, won Best Film at 48 HR Film Project Melbourne in 2009 and is now in script-development as the feature TAXMAN.
Shane studied acting with George Whaley and spent the first part of his career on stage. Recent stage work includes Red Stitch’s THE GRÖNHOLM METHOD (dir. Nadia Tass) and the lead in Hilary Bell’s dark thriller THE BLOODY BRIDE (dir. Julian Louis). Shane also works as a voice artist.
A noted children’s illustrator and author with over 45 titles published to date, Shane lectures in Communication Design at Swinburne University’s Faculty of Design, and in his private design practice focuses on clients who work in the arts and for environmental sustainability.
