I have spent my career telling stories through technology. Broadcast television and internet video are the tools I use to disseminate powerful and compelling messages. My three passions are music, culture, and technology.
Giddy-Up Productions Inc. is my latest venture. Based out of Toronto Ontario, this company supports the series I am currently directing. 'Catch The Dream' is a six part television series that examines struggle and success - Buffy Sainte Marie, Adam Beach, and Jordan Nolan will help us see who makes it and why. It will air on APTN in Canada in the Spring and we are currently shopping for international broadcasters.
I began my career in the broadcast industry in 2000 as at CTV as a segment producer for a weekly current affairs television program called First Story. After ten years and seven seasons as a Producer, I became the host of First Story. The series was awarded the prestigious national Jean Sauvé Diversity in News Award in both 2008 and 2009.
With a strong desire to explore new technology,I diversified my career by creating and managing an internet television site at fundfindr.tv. The website acts as a marketing stream to drive users back to the business venture matching site fundfindr.com. This is where I debuted as an on-air personality and helped make technology fun.
In 2010 Shaka Productions was born. My first client was Microsoft/Redbull, we produced a unreleased web series called Live From The Edge Of Space, about the Microsoft technology supporting the Red Bull Stratos space mission. Shaka Productions regularly produces web based videos for the City of Richmond and the Dreamcatcher Charitable Foundation.
I am very lucky to love what I do, I hope you do too!
