I've been singing since I was a little girl in my father's church, and began writing songs in my teens. Growing up in New York, gospel, smooth jazz and R&B were my early influences. I fell in love with neo-soul during college, and grew to appreciate conscious reggae in the years that I lived on St. Croix, in the beautiful US Virgin Islands, my mother's native home. While I dabbled in recording and studio writing early on, I also found a new niche in fashion. I've owned a women's boutique for 8 years and have enjoyed styling friends and family for much longer. Jewelry design is my latest passion (see my Imperfection Jewelry page here on FB), and serves as an outward expression of one of my greatest life lessons: that if we can learn to embrace our so-called flaws and celebrate ourselves for the unique individuals that we are, then the veil of shame is lifted, and we are completely empowered. I am grateful to God for this simple revelation, for because of it, I am finally at the point in my life where I'm comfortable enough with myself to freely share my music with the world. These are my life experiences conveyed through song... REAL. LIFE. MUSIC. Thanks for checking me out!
