Rod Weber - Sir REEL Productions

Rod Weber has often been called a "renaissance man" having spent a majority of his life studying the arts & technology. This merger of his passions culminated after having spent 22 years of his life as a successful actor (with 4 Broadway shows under his belt), at which time he crossed from the front of the camera to behind and began producing a prolific and non-stop amount of successful features, shorts, and documentaries that truly reach and impact the human soul. Rod has completed over 50 projects in the last three years, many of which are here on this Vimeo showcase site.

Rod is considered to be a "Swiss Army Nerd" that not only knows how to do a vast amount of things, but is actually a specialist in the following:

Directing, Editing, Cinematography, Steadicam Operation, Producing, Line-producing, Post-Production Supervising, Colorist, Screenplay writing, Lighting, Location Sound, not to mention Rod's Acting, Singing, Voice Over Artist, & Music Composing. In 2007, Rod ventured into his freelance production company, Sir REEL Productions, which specializes in narrative features, shorts, music videos, documentaries, and actor/director showcase reels. Currently Rod has four feature films with domestic and/or international distribution representation, and has worked for Steven Spielberg, Robert Zemeckis, & Natalie Portman on their various personal or pet projects, as well has worked directly with Robert Loggia, Dennis Leary, Charles Durning, Jason Bateman, Jorge Garcia, Kristen Bell, and Mike Nichols amongst many others.

Prior to film & video production, Rod could be seen playing lead roles in several live theatrical productions in the United States, including Broadway's Ring of Fire, Las Vegas' Starlight Express, the US Tours of the The Full Monty, Mamma Mia, and Cats where he played a lead role in each. Additionally Rod has appeared in several feature films & in recurring roles on daytime television, including General Hospital, Port Charles, & Guiding Light.

It is this unique blend of arts & technology that makes Rod a sought-after asset in this recent turbulent economic shift from "Big Production" to "Boutique Production". With his select team of highly-respected peers & professionals, Sir REEL Productions creates impactful pieces for only 1/10th of what they cost 10 years ago. By himself, Rod has taken the place of up to 5 different "Hollywood" crew positions at once, truly understanding the interrelation of these different jobs to create an efficiently-produced and high-valued "product".
