Hard to tell from a distance - but what format is your original footage, and what format (video) are you wanting to export to eventually?
DV-PAL video is not really his resolution (ie only 72dpi) so the footage is not always going to be suitable for everything, but if you give me an idea of your plans perhaps I can help?
The other thing is sometimes you can run a deinterlacing filter on the stills (in photoshop) that will help the look of the images.

Hey Measals
I was really engaged by the (blue) colour palatte. Clean, cold.
The thing that struck me most (though) was the absence of sound. It gave the images a sense of 'removal' or surreality.
