SMILE (Supporting and Mentoring in Learning and Education) is part of the Children’s Section of the Refugee Council.

SMILE aims to reduce the isolation experienced by so many asylum seeking and refugee children and young people, by supporting them to access education and individual recreational activities. SMILE also organises group activities, such as arts workshops, sport clubs and presentations. Finally it also works to promote inclusive education by challenging prejudices related to asylum and raise awareness of the needs of refugee children.

SMILE is based in London, the West Midlands, and Yorkshire & Humberside.
