Currently finishing our first feature documentary 'The Club' which candidly explores the lives of three women who lost their mothers in their formative years. Featuring Rosie O'Donnell, Molly Shannon and New York Times best-selling author of 'Motherless Daughters', Hope Edelman, the film sheds light on the fine line walked between liberation and loss through observing the lives these women are subsequently making for themselves. The profound impact premature loss has on ‘motherless daughters’ is slowly revealed through three stories: a Southern artist whose mother’s sudden death prompts a rebirth in her art; a high school senior struggling to gain independence; and a Brazilian living in New York navigating first-time motherhood while making the controversial decision to discover her genetic fate. As their individual lives unfold at significant milestones, we see how the absence of their mothers continues to play into their daily lives. This film seeks to raise questions and provoke thought surrounding how we define ourselves and ultimately, how much our futures are a product of our pasts
