I'm currently pursuing my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology at T.C., Columbia University. I will be graduating in May of 2012 and I intend on starting my Ph.D. in the Fall of 2012.

I am fascinated in the power of film & social media, specifically the way it impacts and influences awareness of the public, including students in the school context.

I am a proponent of social justice, mental health, and gender equality both on a national and international level. I am inspired by Feminist views and Social equality (encompassing socioeconomic status, race, gender, and LGBTQ etc.).

I hope to become a clinical psychologist focusing on social justice advocacy all the while conducting research on issues such as Postpartum depression in urban mothers. I would like to improve my film techniques and use them in the future as effective teaching strategies- By creating additional videos (using a clinical lens on social justice) I hope to raise AWARENESS and promote ACTION!
