Sophie Krier (1976, Belgium-Luxemburg) lives and works in Rotterdam. In 1999 she graduated cum laude from the Design Academy Eindhoven at the department 'Man and Identity'. Since 2005 Sophie Krier is head of designLAB, Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam.

With her own studio she explores the peripheries of the design field, investing herself mainly in research and editorial work for public space, cultural exhibits and manifestations as well as design books. In 5 words, Sophie Krier develops ‘tools for narration and reflection’.
