These videos serve as documents from various workshops and collaborative site-specific projects that focus on sound (New Maps of Time, Sound Locations, Revenant).

‘New Maps of Time’ is a workshop about mapping spaces (mental, architectural and natural) using sound as a means to express actions within a space. The project process works with the basic understanding that artistic creativity can be a ritual by which we live out and share the subjectivity of our own experiences. This inherent subjectivity must be understood not only as an intellectual notion but through means of participatory activity on different levels of personal, collaborative (between people) and contextual actions (interventions in a space).

'Riga Sound Locations' was a four day workshop that took place at various spaces around the city of Riga, Latvia. The project starts with the concept of site-specific artistic activity while integrating contemporary sound recording practices that combine areas of “performance”, “field recording”, “improvisation” and “documentation”.

‘revenant’ is an ongoing project with open membership that focuses on site-specific acoustic actions. all sounds originate from materials found in-situ, and from interactions with the space itself where open-ended collaborations are encouraged.
