The Sparrow Media Project is an arts & activism publicity experiment. Started by a group of friends eager to be more socially active in their daily lives and who were distraught by the waning of a once flourishing socially conscious music scene, the Sparrow Media Project was born as an open-ended project aimed at braiding the arts, pop culture, and activism. Part education through press coverage and web media, and part ground work. This fall we have already cosigned a laundry list of artists & personalities from Bane, to Issa Nyaphaga, from Envy on the Coast, to the Discerning Brute & photographer Gracy Obuchwicz. We hope to help each one of them with their amazing activist and artistic endeavors, and to help them hone their talents to best affect the causes they stand for.

We believe that there is great providence in the smallest of actions, the smallest doings & the smallest songs. Wether it's a flyer and a smile on street corner, or a subversive message scrawled in graffiti, sometimes the smallest actions can have infinite unforeseen potential. We're here to say your actions matter.
