Special Ops, Inc
Before starting Special Ops, Sean Broughton was founder and creative director of Smoke & Mirrors London and then NY. A VFX artist with a worldwide reputation for excellence and innovative design, he is well known in the industry as one of the developers of Flame technology as well as his ability to solve the most difficult visual effect problems. His willingness to collaborate throughout the process from pre-production and shoot supervision to visual effects work and direction makes him one of the most sort after artists.
Those who have worked with Sean consider him the go to guy for not only post production and effects consulting work, but also in creative conception and collaboration.
Broughton began his career at Rushes, London, in 1985. By 1990, he was head of the Department running a Quantel Suite. In 1992, he worked closely with Autodesk to develop Flame and had the first Flame in the UK. As a result, Broughton represents one of the most knowledgeable and articulate resources on Flame.
In 1995, Broughton founded Smoke & Mirrors in London with Mark Wildig, Jon Hollis, Tom Sparks and Penny Verbe.
Broughton became a shareholder in TAG Worldwide in 2004, which was sold in 2012 to Williams Lea.
