This channel highlights the work of South Shore Habitat of Humanity Inc in Braintree MA. (www.sshabitat.org). SSHH is an affilitate of Habitat for Humanity. South Shore Habitat for Humanity serves 35 towns and cities southwest of Boston, MA USA. As of October 2007, over 42 homes have been built in SSHH's 22+ year history. Their mission? To provide clean affordable housing to those in need in the form of a hand-up not a hand-out. Family Partners put in 500 sweat-equity hours and must pay back an interest free morgtage on the cost of building the home. All labor is provided by volunteers.
