Star Victoria
Star Victoria was born in Syracuse, New York. In 1998, she moved to New York to pursue a career in acting. She starred in several off-Broadway plays, including Vagina Monologues, as well as in a few Indie movies. Realizing that working behind the camera is more her forte, in 2004, Star directed her first film, Lakewood, which attracted the attention of film producer Daniel Sollinger. Lakewood was screened at the 2006 Atlanta Fright Night Film festival. Soon after, Star moved to Atlanta and became
involved with Whitestone Motion Pictures as a film director protégé. To better equip herself for the role of a director, she attended the workshop on film directing ran by the LA film school teacher
James Pasternak, Jody Brockaway’s PA Bootcamp, as well as workshops on acting with such famed acting legends like Rainn Wilson. She is a member of “Women In Film Television Atlanta” (WIFTA), IFP, and the “Georgia Production Partnership” (GPP). Star has credits to her name as producer, director, editor, and screenwriter for half-a-dozen short films, including a teaser trailer for the renown casting director Mark Fincannon. Her short film Twinge won for Best Drama at the Campus Movie Fest college campus competition in 2012 (the actor won for Best Actor). Star is currently wrapping up the postproduction of Dead Man’s Hand a short film based on a story by Stephen King. As of January, 2012, Star Victoria is attached to direct the feature film Jealous Gods.
