ELENA GALLEN (1984) works with still and moving images, words and graphics to analyze and perform contemporary culture. Artist and Art Director, she conceptualizes on/off artistic and commercial work in the fields of fashion, arts, music and editorial design. With film studies and a deep understanding of todays’ complex digital landscape she develops avant-garde designs in various formats, platforms and media. In addition to self-published titles she contributes to culture and life-style projects as a writer and co-curates bizarre art zine FUEGO. Most recently she has been a jury of the LAUS Awards and worked for directing collective CANADA. Featured in fashion books and magazines such as Nylon, Vice or Marie Claire; her work has been exhibited in Spain, France and Australia; and her limited editions distributed in concept stores in Barcelona, Paris, Naples, Moscow, Riyadh or Taiwan.
