    I think you are missing the point. Just thought it was cool how someone (a user!) hacked a technology to use it for something it was never designed to do. Never claimed that we invented nor even intended the technology for that. If you are referring to Mocha by imagineer - we like it so much that we put it in the box!

    Thanks for clarifying. The reason to test at default is that both AE and FCPX advertise instant results without the requirement for tweaks. In the case of FCPX, it is specifically advertised that you can remove rolling shutter and stabilize footage completely in the background. See: apple.com/finalcutpro/all-features/ under the header of 'Content Auto-Analysis'.
    That said - it is obvious that tweaking should gain a better result - in EITHER application.

    The default setting was used when you turn it ON. (And for all future technology comparisons - lets assume you have to turn it on to test it.)
    Specifically chose the default settings to get a comparison of what each technology can do WITHOUT tweaks. This at least lets the tech work to nothing more than the developers design.
