I’m an editor & camera operator who likes to work on uplifting, inspirational and thought provoking films.

From time to time I also write, direct and edit them. In addition, I perform as a voice actor/narrator.

I really enjoy editing and love the impact it makes as part of the creative process.

There once was a sculptor who was asked how he created such great statues. He replied that when first faced with a block of marble he couldn’t always see the finished statue within, but he concentrated on clearing away all the small pieces -
everything that wasn’t the statue. That’s how I think of editing.

“You may not be able to articulate what you want, but you can recognise it when you see it. What do I mean by that? Well, if you learn to speak a foreign language, you will find that there is a gap between how well you can speak it and how well you can understand it when it is spoken to you. A human being's ability to understand a foreign language is always greater than his ability to speak it.
And when you make a film, you are trying to learn a foreign language-it just happens to be a unique language that is only spoken by this one film.”
- From “In the Blink of an Eye” by Walter Murch (editor of Apocalypse Now, The Godfather Part II, Ghost and The English Patient).

Most of the shorts featured here were made as part of Filmonik Kabaret events – 3-4 day and week long filmmaking bootcamp/jam sessions where we all pitch in and make films.
