Michael has some good points. i would add to not be afraid to tell people why you are there and what you are doing. it would not be uncommon for us to walk into the kitchen, say hello to everybody and tell them what we are doing and what we'de like from them - to carry on and continue as normal. people generally want to help you, but if they don't know what that means they'll stop and ask questions or do what they think you want. let them know that all you need is for them to continue on and it will be smooth sailing as long as you can keep up

there are no skits, it is all part of the experience. here the photo team did more with them than normal but it was all inspired by their vows and who they are and it was done in a way that made the experience enjoyable

talk to them. be genuinely interested and just ask questions that interest you. forget that they are a 'client' or getting married and imagine a friend introduced the two of you and go from there. if you let yourself connect with them you'll be excited to hear more and the story will come from there

always depends on the story and how produced or real it is. it does slow you down and has more of a presence but you find ways to adapt. it also offers upsides that a DSLR doesn't. no tool is right for every film, so while this excels for some stories it certainly doesn't for all stories
