8 hours agov.striemer commented on My DSLR Rig and configuration for HD Video filming.Yes Augusto, its true. Canon has a own ISO Scale for the 5D. I tested this and by 50 ISO Canon I have measured 70 ISO, Also by 3200 ISO by Canon, my measuring says that near by 4000 ISO. I think there is a context to the bigger Pixel ( 8,2 micrometer) of the 5D.

21 hours agov.striemer commented on My DSLR Rig and configuration for HD Video filming.Hi Augusto, Gratulation for Your Rig !
When You want to move the DSLR from the Rig, that is not so easy, without a long and big Screwdriver. And it´s true, to take than the camera from the rig, You must disassembling lens, HDMI, Video Cable.
When You have the Rig on a Tripod, and want to remove the camera from the rig, Fix the Lens with a little steadybag on the Rig before,( lay it down on the Rods) and than safe with a lenscap camera and lens.
This Rig is not the perfect solution and always when i worked with this setup, I must remember that is the same concentration for working with a 16/35mm. All handles with care. Have a good and happy New Year, and alwas good light ! -
21 hours agov.striemer commented on My DSLR Rig and configuration for HD Video filming.hi uwediA,
My problem is not to work for documentary with my Rig Setup: the viewfinder. When I look in my viewfinder I cannot exactly see the focus. The viewfinder is from a old Sony DXC30 because this viewfinder is to soft, and its a SD Signal, and You have a Picture what You see in the viewfinder with letterbox. So its very small.
For working with an FocusFollow and Focuspuller by shoting from shoulder this is a good setup.
For documentary I would use the ZacutoViewfinde r, and a another rig, for Example MultiRig Pro.
You ask for a smooth lens aperture correction. I don´t know this for photo lenses. May be it is possible, ?!
The hard disk option is a mental workflow problem.
Thats possible with the HDMI out, when You are not in record Mode with the EOS you can capture this HDMI Signal on a Harddiskrecorde r like the AJA Ki Pro (film-tv-video.de/newsdetail.html?&uid=37922&no_cache=1) sorry is in german.)
But You must always have the EOS in LiveView Mode and must the MeasureZone move to a corner out of the 16:9 frame. That is also a problem, then all Information You have in the LiveView Modus, you must eliminate or You have this waste in the Picture.
I hope I could help a little bit, and You understand my wrong and bad english. Have a nice and good new year and always good light ! -
