Supermodels Unlimited Magazine provides subscribers and fans with numerous ways to connect. The publication’s team frequently shares news, including upcoming events and specialty issues, through a Facebook page. In addition, the staff posts videos to the social networking site from charity and runway events. Supermodels Unlimited Magazine also submits updates to Twitter and MySpace and videos to YouTube. The periodical encourages aspiring models and their families to e-mail the company for special events and operates a distribution list to communicate the latest news. The magazine is published bimonthly and accepts subscription requests online through its website.
Every few months, Supermodels Unlimited Magazine hosts a special event, which often benefits a charitable organization, such as The Simon Foundation or the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. In June 2011, the publication teamed up with a punter for the Indianapolis Colts football team for a two-day fashion function in support of children with cancer. Numerous models and photographers gathered for an extensive photo shoot for an upcoming issue. The pro football player posed in some of the images with the models.
Earlier in the same month, Supermodels Unlimited Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Kimberly Lawrence organized and hosted Mission Supermodel, which gave eight aspiring models chances to meet with agents in the Big Apple. The event proved successful, with each model receiving at least one offer for representation and some garnering multiple proposals. The models ranged in age from 7 to 19.
In each issue, Supermodels Unlimited highlights numerous emerging models of a range of ages and ethnicities. The reporting staff authors pieces on recent pageant and talent competitions as well as interviews with models and industry professionals. Highlighted pageants include Miss America, Miss Teen USA, and Miss USA. Based on its coverage, the publication has been nicknamed the Vogue for pageant contestants.
