Susanne is the president and founder of TechCentric Design Group, LLC (D.B.A. GX Media Services), a company which specializes in video production, multimedia content creation and web development. Susanne’s long-standing interest in film began at age 11 when, armed with a Super-8 movie camera, she began creating stories using her friends, classmates and siblings as actors. While her career trajectory took her into the sciences, her camera was never far away.
In 2008 she began her journey back to her passion -- visual storytelling -- when she and a friend began developing multimedia tools to educate the public about drinking water safety. The collaboration resulted in a 12 minute educational DVD which has found widespread use as a tool to help inform public policy makers regarding threats facing municipal water systems. This collaboration continues today and she is currently co-developing a pilot for a children’s animated series aimed at educating kids ages 7-11 about drinking water safety and freshwater conservation issues.
In June of 2013 she and seven team members completed the film “Raising the Bar,” which tells the story of army veteran, below knee amputee, and extreme athlete, Jason Sturm, as he struggles to return to school and help other adaptive athletes. The film premiered in Hollywood at the G.I Film Festival in November of 2013. Interest in the film has been very strong with over 2,100 likes on it’s Facebook page and multiple media outlets expressing interest in distribution.
Susanne graduated from the Pennsylvania State University, College of Medicine in 2001 with a Ph.D. in Neuroscience. She is a recent graduate of the George Washington University’s, Institute for Documentary Filmmaking.
