With 15 years of experience working in a variety of technical and creative positions in film and video production, I hope you will give me the opportunity to discuss in more details the possibility of our collaboration. I love meeting people, understanding personality and their cultures, sharing knowledges and experiences, telling stories. After years of freelance filmmaking, I'm extremely autonomous and very versatile.
My previous experience as a Director, Video Editor & Lighting Cameraman on a variety of projects including award winning documentaries in Australia and abroad in addition to filming corporates, television shows, fashion, charity, live events and music videos has provided me with a wealth of production expertise, ensuring that I am well equipped for any production environment.
I’m fluent in English and in Spanish. French is my native language. I have shot in several countries in South America, Asia, Africa, Europe and Australia in large productions as well as in very small teams.
I have worked in the Fashion industry, particularly for CHANEL, directly with Karl Lagerfeld. In this environment, I have proven strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines : chanel-news.chanel.com/fr/collector/making-of-de-la-petite-veste-noire/
Working as a Director of Photography, I have recently worked on a documentary film by Fabienne KANOR, Night Husbands produced by LA HUIT for France Television : vimeo.com/34707573
I was initially trained at the University of Metz and I have a Master’s Degree in Film and Video studies from the University Paris Diderot (Paris VII). After completing my studies, I worked for 2 years at the Varan Documentary Film Centre as a technical team leader, and further took the director’s training course that this institute offers. After two years of travelling, shooting and editing in West Africa and South America, in 2001, I decided to create my own company with two associates. One of our main projects “The BUS” was a big success and has been presented in 70 different locations in France (Parc de la Villette, Festival d'Avignon, Chalon dans la rue, Lille 2004 - European Capital of Culture) and in Europe (Spain, Holland, Latvia, Georgia, Poland). I have received substantial financial support from stakeholders in France after a competitive review process. More than 100 schools visited the video installation, proving my narrative story telling skills and my ability to produce films targeting a very diverse audience. For this program we have developed an advanced software to “spatialize the sound and the image in 7 screens”. The concept has been protected at the SCAM (patent office for multimedia innovation).
I have the skills to develop editing styles and techniques that make each production unique while staying on top of current technologies and trends. I can take a production from initial conception to completion, visualizing and shaping its path through the production and post-production process ensuring high quality work. I can oversee the post-production workflow from ingest through to final delivery.
