vj synaesthesik
G.D & synaesthesik artist. Passionated with translation from music language into the visual one, including screen and print formats, to promote artists and labels. //
Her marvelous sesitivity and affinity towards music and picture since she was a child led her to assure that the senses of hearing and sight are complementary, as much that sounds could be described metaphorically with images and vice versa.
Passionate about this, she researches and confirms that the acoustic image needs to be strengthened by the other senses due to the great dependence of visual perception that human perception has. Nowadays, electronic performances have become synaesthesic phenomenon. She met the collective D-Fuse Hexstatic, who had left their mark on her and began her idea of visual music.
That is how this designer/communicator started to create visual contents, trying to translate and complement the scenarios in different electronic music events. Vj Synaesthesik got into Buenos Aires night scene in 2007 encouraged by Vj Matrona. Little by little she managed to sustain the public’s interest on the screens by “painting sounds” and composing “visual music” in different places such as Bahrein, Club Pachá, Hype Bs As (@ Kika), Voodoo Motel, Mandarine, L.O.V.E party (La Plata), Chocolate (Mar del Plata), Aquabarra (San Luis), Matik-Matik (Colombia) where she worked with local and international deejays like Kintar & Rex (SUDAM RECORDS - Argentina), Spitfire (SURFACE), Margot Somoza (SURFACE), Modex (PIAS - Spain), Toomy Disco (SO SOUND RECORDINGS), Ondrej (KUMQUAT LABEL - Switzerland), Henry Saiz (NATURA SONORIS - Spain) and Andrea Cassino (CASSINO & LABEN - Italy).
Nowadays, she leads and coordinates her own proyect where she applies her knowledge of graphic design and images production for both print and screen formats, looking forward to promote deejays, producers and international record labels; preferring to work with Funk, Disco, Nu Disco, House and Progressive styles. She called this personal proyect "Tone that Tune".
And it started working for the European label “In Deep Records” (Poland) and their sublabel “Nu Indee Records”, owned by producer Martín Harmony and A&R manager PAD for whom she generates a important visual complement for some famous artist like Satin Jackets (Germany), Chris Nemmo (Greek), Ricky Inch (Estonia), St. Stereo Love (Lituania), etc.
She also keeps on working with national artists such as Manuel Sahagún, deejay and producer with an outstanding trajectory (Miniter of Sound, Hed Kandi Music, amongst others), Modex (Pias – Spain), Fruto gris (Universal).
Synaesthesik also writes for the Chilean website “Sinestesia”, interested in the investigation of this phenomenon which is nowadays stimulating the nocturnal electronic scene. Without giving up her interest in experimenting with stereoscopy (images to be seen through anaglyph lenses) and its impact in the creation of stimulus that combine other senses, which has always been part of her personal branding.
