Maiden flight of a prototype 3D FPV Hexa Racer 250 class. This hexa has been designed for very fast flight using a new aerodynamic frame and body and 3D cameras for FPV (First Person View). It has a highly innovative "Look down/up" mechanism controlled by a FatShark headtracker. This maiden flight was testing out CG and overall basic flight mechanics. It was flown LOS (line of sight) and with only 10% of it's performance capability due to the weakness of the prototype's infrastructure being loosely coupled. Even with this "sticks and glue" version, the aerodynamics of the aircraft were stunning, with a very 'slippery' yet highly locked in feel. Overall the UAV showed little or no signs of any aerodynamic drag on any axis. There was no notice or drag from the 15mph wind.
