We are crowdfunding to share a unique, accessible 3D digital modelling experience which offers the capability to produce and create distinctive 3 dimensional forms and utilise 3D printing technology to produce the objects created. Our company Anarkik3D has developed 'Cloud9' software which enables designer makers to more easily design and model in 3 dimensions. What is really special is using a 3D haptic device to give the capability to touch and feel not only all around the object but also the process of constructing and modelling. The tricky problem facing Anarkik3D is getting across the concepts of multiple technologies because even if you "get" 3D printing and 3D designing, we still have to get across what haptics is, the concept of touching a virtual object.and why haptics is a useful and non-intimidating technology for easier 3D modelling. We are crowdfunding as we need funds to enable us to be continue to get out there and on show giving hands-on demos to both expand awareness and to promote the creative experience that is now possible.

Suzanne designs and makes jewellery taking time to carefully craft truly 3 dimensional forms in natural materials. 'Stonen' is a set of forms she created digital in Cloud9 bringing the same sensibility and sensitivity to working virtually. Suzanne attended a 3 day course at Anarkik3D to learn to use Cloud9 as a 3D modelling tool and used Boolean subtraction (torus from cube) to create 'Stonen' which demonstrates one of the unusual features built into Cloud9. The intersection where torus and cube overlap is NOT deleted once subtraction is completed as this part can have an unexpected and a surprisingly interesting and beautiful form. We leave it up to the creator to decide what to do with it!

Had fun doing this little rough animation of a worm in an apple, chewing on something! First time I have tried anything like this and was motivated to see how Anarkik3D's haptic (3D virtual touch) sketchmodelling package, Cloud9, could be used in this way. All the 3D forms were created in Cloud9, then I used the unique qualities of force feedback haptics to imitate the worm chewing and captured this with Camtasia. Trying to do the pip being spat out was too tricky and I ran out of time! I tried to edit all the 'stop frame' bits but being new to editing I made a hash of it. It was fun and proved that there is potential to use Cloud9 to do some wacky stuff. Just requires some imagination and better editing skills.!

            What are Tags?

Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
