Focuses on the latest LED & DSLR Technology. The Gear Guide is an introduction to filmmaking technology taught by the people who make the most popular, longest lasting gear. It’s meant to bring you in contact with the gear before you can physically work with it. Imagine coming to Los Angeles, and having the benefit of meeting privately with the presidents and VPs of companies like Arri, Matthews Studio Equipment (MSE Grip), Kino Flo, Manfrotto (Bogen) and Schneider Optics. Imagine how much more prepared you will be to use their products once you get on the set of your next production. Your mind will be free to focus on creativity and communication, not learning new technical jargon. That’s the purpose of the Gear Guide. It also keeps you informed on the latest gear, techniques, and tips on staying ahead in the Film and Video Industry. We NEVER get paid by manufacturers to make these videos. We simply have a great relationship with them, and teach our students how to use their products from a purely educational point of view. If they seem to be marketing their products, it's just because they believe deeply in their companies. They're just in love with their gear! We hope that our videos help you feel more confident when you walk on any set, knowing that you can communicate using the jargon and timeless, technical terms that other professionals use.

A feature-length documentary, Kvadrat explores the realities of techno DJing, using the example of Andrey PUSHKAREV, a Russian DJ recognized worldwide. Filmed as a hybrid between a road-movie and a music video, the film not only illustrates the festive atmosphere of techno night clubs, but also reveals the lesser known side of this profession: weeks of track selection, lengthy travel, difficult schedule. The film suggests to reconsider the stereotype of a popular musician, to find out whether the artist is happy, to ponder what’s most important to him and his audience? Shot in Switzerland, France, Hungary, Romania and Russia, the film omits the typical documentary elements: no interviews, no explanatory voice-over, no facts, no figures. The visuals and the techno music replace them, leaving the detailed interpretation to the viewer. Find out more on: http://kvadratmovie.com

The 24 Hour Race at the Nuerburgring is known as the world's biggest motorsport event. More than 200,000 fans set up their camp in the Eifel forest and cheer for their heroes in the 210 race cars. Lap after lap. Hour after hour. Day and night. It's the stage for great stories. Sorrow and joy. Excitement and exertion. Drama and emotions. You will hardly find any event that brings the extremes this close together. In the thick of things, last year's winner BMW's two cars and 70 team members. For months, engineers, mechanics and the eight pilots have been preparing for the most important race of the year. The filmmakers Tim and Nick Hahne captured it all with their cameras - from the first test drive to the chequered flag coming down - and accompanied the BMW team on the way to achieving its goal: winning the 24-Hour Race. The filmmakers were able to gain unusual glimpses beneath the drivers' helmets and insights into the strategies to conquer the world's hardest long-distance race. The story is told up close, with compelling pictures. It turns race car drivers into actors. Their fascinating cars become their co-stars. The Nordschleife is the set. And the race over the course evolves into the plot of the film.

UPDATE: July 2014 - We just finished our 2nd feature film! Watch it FREE on YouTube here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPOicWDDO_k Synopsis: A locally loved suburban family man has to pay for the worst thing he's ever done when two mysterious young criminals break into his home. HD/96 minutes If this was rated it would be "R" for...well, lots of things, so kids beware. I recommend watching in fullscreen, in HD, and with good headphones or speakers. Even better, download the movie and play it through your TV if you have a media player (downloading requires a Vimeo account). Bad is Bad is our first feature length movie. It was written when we were 19 and shot when we were 20. Our total budget was about $6,000. We filmed it in 18.5 days in Richmond, Virginia in the summer of 2010 using the Canon 7d (which made up a quarter of our budget alone). If you like this movie please spread the word and share the link, either on your Twitter, Facebook, blog, favorite forum, or whatever. It makes a big difference! The movie is free because we don't want money, just exposure. And if you really want to show us some love, log in to IMDB and rate the film at the link below!
