Edwin Denim is constructed with utility and daily use in mind. It is a hard wearing product, made using only premium denim fabrics. Naturally, we wanted to test the Fall / Winter 2012 Collection out on the road, documenting times shared with our friends who rode over from Paris to join us in the colder winter temperatures of the Peak District in the United Kingdom. All riding vintage BMW motorcycles, with various hand built custom modifications, which our Parisian friends are famously known for. With the help of a 1974, 1502 BMW used as a back up vehicle, the Edwin collection was put to the test. It made sense to be testing solid product, riding solid old machines from such a reputable company. It was an opportunity to live up to our reputations for making well constructed product with a shared sense of the freedom we all enjoy... • Cotic Bikes Presents- 'Friday Escapade'

We have a couple of new frames to tell you about: The new Escapade and Roadrat3. Escapade is a new drop bar frame to replace the X. It takes all of the great features of the Roadrat and the X, along with some improvements and combines them all into a tough, fun, fast road bike. The Roadrat3 takes the proven geometry of the previous versions and adds the new features from the Escapade; the stiffer tubeset, the bolt thru fork, the clean disc only design. A few years ago one of us coined the phrase Life Bike as a kind of shorthand tongue-in-cheek name for that workhorse that does a bit of everything. Your going to work bike, your going to the shops bike, your getting away from it all bike. It may sound a little cheesy, but that's exactly what the Escapade and the Roadrat represent for us, and hopefully for you too. Tyres big and floaty or small and fast. Derailleur gears, hub gears, single gear. Mudguards, panniers, bottle cages. Strip it all down and speed into the City. Load up and head off into the hills, just like these guys in the video. There's detailed information and photo galleries in the following places: http://www.cotic.co.uk/product/escapade http://www.cotic.co.uk/product/roadrat The Escapade available in Black Grape (as seen in the video) and duck egg, with the Roadrat3 continuing in duck egg as well, but introducing dark olive as the alternative colour. We'll get some pics of the olive next week when they arrive, but it's a lovely understated colour. Unfortunately we got sent the duck egg Roadrat3 for photos so haven't got studio shots sorted just yet, but we've had it on a test mountain bike frame that we've been riding this winter and it's lovely. Framesets are available to order now. They start at just £249 for the frame only, £329 with the RB3 bolt thru fork, or £299 with the RB2 open dropout v/disc fork. Bikes and rolling chassis will follow in a couple of weeks once we've had the bolt thru wheelsets built to suit. The bolt thru wheelset will be £175, the Escapade bike in the video is £949, The RoadRat Alfine bike in the video is £969. They're a lot of fun these bikes; we hope you like them.

Buxton is one of most popular tourist destinations in the Peak District famed for its natural spring water and Georgian architecture. The town was founded by the Romans who called it Aquae Arnemetiae. It was the fifth Duke of Devonshire who put Buxton on the map with development in 1780s - the centrepiece being the Georgian Crescent (soon to be a 5* Spa Hotel). The town's rich history features Roman settlers, royal prisoners, outlaws and noble benefactors. Here is another quick video of Ethan Walker crushing at Black Rocks, this time the stunning and scary line of Meshuga. After climbing Gaia the day before Ethan worked this classic E9, but decided not to go for it that day, instead returning the day after with a fresh mind to go for the lead. It was a super windy day, but he still managed to look steady all the way… Unfortunately i was only able to capture the ascent from the ground that day, due to it being just the two of us at the crag, but you get the idea :)

'Well this was a bit of an odd one, when Tom Caldwell called up saying he wanted to shoot a video of a fairy riding we weren’t sure what to think but he said it would be funny so off he went into the woods with his camera, and a fairy. This is the result! The fairy in question is Matt Gosling but we’re not sure this is his standard biking attire, whatever he wears this video should mean you want to dig out your tutu and rip through the woods!' http://dirtmountainbike.com/videos/pin-ya-fairy-thought-fairy-ride-fast.html Bet you never thought you'd see a fairy on a mountainbike?
