This live show has toured the US since 2004, right up to the present day! The performance captured here happened at Jump Start Performance Co. in San Antonio, Texas, and it was a riot! This crowd is used to solo performance, having hosted Tim Miller, Holley Hughes, Karen Finley, Peggy Shaw - to name a few legends. What an honor to share a story on that stage.

Pastor Charles candidly shares the great need for God's people today to guard their faith and separate themselves from the world and those things and paople who would distract us from godly living and a victorious Christian testimony. TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 6:14-18 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said , I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate , saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Pastor Chrales offers some thoughts on the impact of this event and the new, exciting possibilities that exist for us today, as Gay Christians, which did not exist for those who forged the way before us. This is a casual conversation between the pastor and the viewer. We will resume our regular Bible Study schedule next Tuesday.

A simple word of exhortation from the pastor on the need for the people of God to live a life of worship and constant communication with the Lord. Our relationship with the Lord and our praise ought to be "at all times" and not merely based upon "what has He done for me lately?"

Acceptance at What Price? The Gay Movement Reconsidered Martin Duberman, award-winning historian, playwright, author and the founder and first Executive Director of CLAGS will be giving the annual Kessler Lecture on December 5. The Kessler award is given to a scholar who has, over a number of years, produced a substantive body of work that has had a significant influence of the field of GLBTQ Studies. It is especially appropriate that Martin Duberman, Distinguished Professor of History Emeritus at CUNY a nd the founder of CLAGS should give the twentieth Kessler Lecture to mark the recognition of its first twenty years in 2011 and the initiation of its second score in 2012. Duberman will assess where the GLBTQ movement is today – what it has achieved and at what cost? Martin Duberman is the author of more than twenty books among them, important historical works such as Black Mountain: An Exploration of Community, About Time: Exploring the Gay and Lesbian Past, Paul Robson, Stonewall and The Worlds of Lincoln Kirstein as well as three memoirs on his life as a politically active gay man, and the prize-winning off-Broadway play, In White America. His most recent book is a biography of the radical historian Howard Zinn. He has won many honors and awards such as the Bancroft Prize for his biography of Charles Francis Adams, two Lambda Literary Awards, the American Historical Associations Lifetime Achievement Award, The Whitehead Award for Lifetime Achievement in Non-Fiction. In May 2012, Amherst College awarded Duberman an Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters. Professor Duberman will be introduced by Blanche Wiesen Cook, Distinguished Professor of History at John Jay College, CUNY and Marcia Gallo, Assistant Professor of History at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Cook is the author a two-volume biography of Eleanor Roosevelt and the Declassified Eisenhower: A Divided Legacy of Peace and Political Warfare. Her biography of Roosevelt sparked controversy when she revealed that Roosevelt had had a lesbian affair with reporter Lorena Hickok. Gallo received her doctorate in history from CUNY and is the author of Different Daughters: A History of the Daughters of Bilitis and the Rise of the Lesbian Rights Movement which won the 2006 Lambda Book Award. “Radicals still don’t accept that institutions currently structured are in any sense universal or maximally indicate human needs…Being allowed ‘in’ to mainstream culture is not the goal that we originally aimed at. It wasn’t that we wanted to become accepted members of established institutions; it was rather that we wanted to change the institutions.” —Duberman, 2012 The event takes place in the Proshansky Auditorium, CUNY Graduate Center (Concourse Level), 365 Fifth Ave.

Paul was able to share the power of God to heal with a lame man because he walked in the "power of perception" and was able to sense that this man had faith to be healed. And nothing can happen without faith! We need to walk in the power of perception!
