The official animated music video by MIE studios in London for C Sharp, the first single release from Rendezvous new album Another Round Please, available now on all major stores! Official Store: http://store.rendezvousmusic.co.uk/ iTunes: http://itunes.apple.com/album/another-round-please-bonus/id501898617 Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Another-Round-Please/dp/B0077FPKPG --- When it comes to building a buzz, the two-piece Rendezvous certainly have what it takes. Home videos of the band recording their debut album quickly received over a million views on the band's YouTube Channel and the band's bass-driven, live electro prog quickly brought them to the attention of all sorts of people in the know. The band worked on first single C Sharp, and the rest of their album, with producer Dave Bascombe (Kylie Minogue, Depeche Mode, Tears For Fears) and their debut brings together the deep rhythms, epic melodies and trademark beats that have seen the band pick up several hundred thousand followers on Myspace and Facebook in an incredibly short space of time. Carl Cox contributed two remixes (Phase 1 and Phase 2) to the single that add a different set of sounds to proceedings. Carl Cox himself is already throwing his weight behind the duo, saying "it was a pleasure to work on this remix it was a beautiful piece of music and I have put my Coxy stamp on it! Enjoy!" Another Round Please nods its hat to a wide range of influences, the early electro pioneers, classic progressive rock and chillwave; it also brings to mind the likes of Kraftwerk, Underworld and Air. Rendezvous, seamlessly and intriguingly, mix a minimalistic electro production with classic synth sounds and melodies that wouldn't be out of place on a 70s Pink Floyd record. Many of the album's tracks were recorded in somewhat tumultuous circumstances: in Israel, during the 'second Lebanon war'. As Rendezvous were recording, neighbouring cities and towns were being fired upon by Hezbollah missiles, and only a few miles away, Israeli planes were dropping bombs on Lebanon. This led to surreal and occasionally dangerous recording sessions, but tunes that seem to transcend the environment in which they were recorded. Rendezvous second single, The Murf, reached number 5 in the UK club charts, and its stunning video clocking up 150,000+ views online in the space of just a few weeks (see vimeo.com/25584378). --- Credits: * Animated music video for C Sharp is done by MIE, London * All Tracks are composed, arranged and produced by Itai Simon and Hagai Izenberg * Hagai Izenberg - Keyboards, Piano, Moogerfoogers * Itai Simon - Bass, Moogerfoogers * Boris Rasinski Levin - Drums * Karen Phenpimon-Zehavi - Bells * C Sharp was recorded at Rendezvous Studios, Bardo Studios and Eshel Studios * Recording engineers are Itai Simon, Hagai Izenberg, Amit Golan and Rafi Eshel (special thanks goes out to Gur Magen at Poopik Studios) * Programming and Editing were done by Hagai Izenberg and Itai Simon * Mixed by Dave Bascombe and mastered by John Davis at Metropolis Studios, London * Published by Gulliver Music Publishing (GMP) * Released by Moot Records * Distributed worldwide by Rough Trade --- More info at Rendezvous official website: http://www.rendezvousmusic.co.uk © 2012 Rendezvous / Moot Records / Rough Trade / G Records

SHOW: Concréte Mixer: an evening of solo and collaborative musique concréte performances at the Walnut Room in Denver. The show will be Jan 25th at 9pm and feature performances by: John Gross, Randall Frazier, Victoria Lundy, Mark Mosher, Rick Reid, and Tom Lundy on CO2. $10/$12 at the door. http://www.thewalnutroom.com. THIS VIDEO: This video features the Copper Heart and is just a small taste of some interesting sonic experiences we all have in store for you at the show so we hope you will come to the show and tell your friends. This improvisation was shot at a tech rehearsal in a Denver warehouse. It features Tom Lundy playing the copper heart with dry ice. The rapid cooling of the copper causes the metal emit all sorts of interesting sounds. The Copper Heart has a contact mic on it with the signal being routed to Mark Mosher who is sampling the signal on the fly and shaping and sequencing the sound in real-time with an Elektron Octatrack. So you hear both the original Copper Heart plus the manipulation. Victoria Lundy is playing complimentary parts on a Moog Etherwave Pro Theremin which is being processed by Mooogerfoogers. Mark is also running real-time interactive visuals with Resolume based on live camera input (which can be seen on the right wall at the beginning of this video). For the actual show these images will be projected behind the artists.

Neon Indian and Dan Deacon play the small, intimate stage at the Moog Music Factory in Asheville, North Carolina, during Moogfest 2011. Fans "in the know" were treated to an up-close, special jam session by two of the festival's more popular artists performing together for the first time. The two joined forces once again for an exclusive interview with The Tuned Inn in Moog Music's Sound Lab. They discuss the unique collaboration, their fondness for Moog, the particular Moog instruments (including the new Animoog iPad app) used for this performance, and why Moogfest is so special. This performance and interview was filmed on Sunday, October 30, 2011 on the third day of Moogfest 2011 by The Tuned Inn. Another interesting rhythm pattern created with Brute's arpeggiator and synced LFO section. Mf 102 is used as second oscillator, but the tracking is out of tune. 102 is used also for FM oscillator on 101 and Brute's filter. CP 251 provides the noise source and LFO that is used to blend 101 in and out from time to time. Interesting results can be achieved when playing with Brute's LFO on VCA and VCF and it's intensity. Another thing to mention is that arpeggiator is running in triplet mode, but LFO stays straight. With this, you can get some poly grooves and when adding octave and arp's playing mode, you can run this for hours. For some space there is Ensoniq DP/4 used and Moog 104z.
