Psalm 127 was either written by, for, or in honor of Solomon. It is very similar in nature to the Proverbs. It was a psalm of ascents. There are fifteen of these kinds of psalms. The Songs of Ascents were sung by Jewish pilgrims who were making their way to Jerusalem to worship at the Temple during one of the annual Jewish feasts. Jerusalem sits upon a hill some 2,500 feet above sea level. All of the pilgrims coming to Jerusalem would have to pass through Jericho, which was 800 feet below sea level. So in fifteen miles the pilgrims would climb over 3,000 feet to worship at the Temple. As they climbed toward Jerusalem they would sing these songs of worship and praise. In this particular psalm, the pilgrim worshipers sing about the wisdom of building one’s life on God and the rewards God bestows on those who do. One of the greatest temptations we face in life is to build our life on something other than God. This is true not only for those who are not Christians, but for believers as well. Someone has said that God has life fixed so it won’t work without Christ. Jesus once compared two different kinds of builders. One built his house upon the sand and when the storms came the house collapsed, and one built his house on the rock and when the storm came the house was survived unscathed. The point is simple in that when we build on the wrong foundation we are sure to experience a catastrophic collapse in our lives. We can build our careers on the wrong foundation, we can build our marriages on the wrong foundation, and we can build our hobbies and recreational pursuits on the wrong foundation. There are some here today that are building on wrong foundation and are going to soon experience a collapse. So how can we be build our lives on the right foundation? By building according to the wisdom of God. God’s blueprint for life is given to us here in Psalm 127. In this psalm we will discover that if we build our lives according to God’s blueprint we will experience His rest and rewards.

Discipleship in Declaring Christ Pt1a | ID#rb-111814-discipleship-declare-christ-pt1a The generation of the end of days and Jacobs trouble will be without excuse; for God will give a final and full testimony of his Son! Discipleship in Declaring Christ Pt1 begins at the "Declaring the testimony of Christ through John, the Father, and the works which followed the Son of God. It is here that we also must declare such testimony through God's word to a world in unbelief and rebellion. Make no mistake, we are in the end of days and Satan is setting up the final approaches to the dark one's appearance. The world of the end of days, including America will have no excuse. In spite of their rebellion, a testimony will be given. As the Remnant of the Lord, through Christ Jesus and His Spirit; we are ordained unto the Son of God as his messengers to a wicked and evil generation. Although they will not listen, testimony must be given. But among the people, there are those yet to be saved; out of the fire! In the last moment. John 1: 11-12 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
