Every frame in this video is a photograph taken by astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS). I created this timelapse on a long weekend after discovering the image library online. I used Photoshop and Sony Vegas to edit and compile the footage. The music is a track from one of my favorite sci-fi movies, Sunshine. I thought the music and imagery would fit well together. *** Thank you all for likes, comments, shares and support this video has received. I'm truly glad so many have enjoyed it.*** You can view my other work and see my other projects here: www.facebook.com/kn8photo www.knatephoto.com Music by John Murphy - Sunshine (Adagio In D Minor) Performed by the City Of Prague Philharmonic http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003YYX1YG/?tag=you09f-20 Image Courtesy of the Image Science & Analysis Laboratory, NASA Johnson Space Center, The Gateway to Astronaut Photography of Earth http://eol.jsc.nasa.gov

Ray Gascoigne has been around boats his whole life, as a shipwright, a merchant sailor, and now as a ship builder on the smallest dry dock there is: a bottle. This short film, by Smith Journal and Melbourne-based production studio Commoner, picks through the wood chips to tell the story of a craft honed over 60 years, and the man behind it. A step-by-step account of the process was featured in Smith Journal volume six. We walked onto a ship in Bodo, Norway, a city bombed to ashes by the Luftwaffe in 1940, and departed north through the Lofoten Islands for Tromso. Above the Arctic Circle the days were still short but with a haunting smoky afterlight that lasted until the aurora took over. from Mark Rigler / Added

A tilt shift of boats shot close to where I live. The fishing boats were shot a couple of years ago and the rest was shot recently from my balcony. I used a 500mm mirror lens for a lot of the shots of the bay, whilst it might not be as good as a Canon 500mm prime lens it is a little cheaper! Edited in Photoshop, compiled and colour corrected in After Effects. The music was created in Cubase.

                    from Mark Rigler / Added

The title of this was taken from a line from a tune [Holidays in the sun] by 70's boy band The Sex Pistols. The line "Cheap holidays in other people’s misery” seemed to sum up the mood for this video. Just because the rains coming down it doesn’t mean you have to stay at home. The filming took place over three days during June and July 2011 on some rather damp days. Next time it rains, get your camera out, there’s loads to film and you often get the place to yourself! Edited in Premire Pro, and Colour graded with Magic Bullet Looks. To see the quay in the sun watch http://www.vimeo.com/25280120
