Niccolò Biddau invites to the opening of his solo exhibition "Industria" at La Triennale in Milan, on preview November 28, 2013 at 7pm. Freelance photographer till 1988, Biddau is interested in the Italian industry which he investigates paying attention to the shapes and the compositions made by the machineries and the production. Biddau's shoots are realized at the very core of the Made in Italy's factories, from engineering to textile and furniture as Auricchio, Alessi, Birra Forst, Bauli, Campari, Cassina, Dolce&Gabbana, Missoni, Pirelli, FIAT, Italcementi, Dalmine, Ducati, Magneti Marelli, Menabrea, Zanotta and Telecom. After checking the places out, he wears safety shoes and hat and brings the photographic equipment inside the industry - in the most unimaginable places - to take large format analogue black and white pictures. From details to large views, he is looking for "the aesthetics of technology", the intrinsic beauty and symbolic value of objects usually considered merely for their functional aspect: "I love depicting a company's place as an extremely attractive container: a place of art, an expression of modernity, an outpost where creativity, technology and new humanism merge into one" - Biddau writes in the preface of his book "Industria". On show 30 printed photographs together with 200 projected pictures and a documentary made by Giovanni Lucci, which shows the behind the scene of the photographer's shooting. ZOOM supports Biddau's work, admiring the quality, made by dedication, real passion, ability in the photographic technique and depth of subjects. The preview will take place on November 28, 2013 at 7pm at La Triennale in Milan, with cocktails offered by Berlucchi.
