S.W.E.E.T.® dedicates itself to solving some of the most pressing environmental problems in the history of the Earth : the depletion of rare animal and plant species. The Southwest & World Educational Environmental Trust (SWEET), a 501 C(3), nonprofit entity, and plans to launch its center, which will be dedicated to the preservation of endangered, rare and rescue animals of all species. The center will stream together with significant 21st century trends: green technology and state-of-the-art biotechnology. The structural design will incorporate cutting edge solar and other green technologies, along with the creation of a sustainable infrastructure. The buildings will contain state of art holding facilities that are fully dedicated to the protection of all of its living gems, using the most advanced preservationist, zoological technology available. SWEET proposes to develop its wildlife center dedicated to the safeguarding of endangered, threatened, illegally traded and liberated animals. The objectives of the center are to provide a rehabilitation The idea or inspiration for this project largely comes from Erik Daniel Shein, author, pet enthusiast, environmentalist and animal health advocate. Erik in collaboration with author/professor, Martin Reker, who has written numerous animal preservationist works, consistent with the SWEET mission, are dedicated to the its development. Erik, with movie production firms in Los Angeles and funding from a developer from Arizona, created an animated feature length movie called ‘Legend of Secret Pass,’ whose theme was based on the concept of a wildlife sanctuary. In addition, Martin and Erik have developed a series of books called ‘My story land friends Storybooks,’ and other projects, all of which are about animal themes relevant to the mission of SWEET. It is the‘green technology’ it plans to use throughout the preserve that sets it apart from others. Mission SWEET’s Trust Declaration Statement SWEET will join a growing number of individuals and organizations spreading a protective umbrella over those endangered creatures, who are victimized by outlaw forces or environmental stress. This Trust supports efforts to reunite poached animals with their indigenous environments, establish safe havens that protect them and allow controlled breeding before their reintroduction; educate all interested people who care for the planet, or who are just discovering the magnitude of our environmental problems. So lets build a wildlife center together Wouldn't that be so SWEET, Giving our animal friends a chance one step at a time Thank you

From simple cells in the seas to fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals and eventually humans; this we are told has been the evolutionary tree of life. So how does this theory fit in with all we can see around us? After thousands of years of observable evidence and advances in biological research do Darwin's evolutionary ideas measure-up to the discoveries of modern science? Although millions of fossils have been found worldwide, still no fossils of any transitional species have been discovered. Could it be that quite simply, there aren't any, and that in fact the millions of creatures on earth have never been able change into different kinds of animals as Darwin believed? Now you can see for yourself and understand the intricate designs of natures vast array of creatures and our place among them in this wonderfully created world. From Egypt and the depths of the Red Sea to the Islands of Malta, the Cape of Good Hope and the Savannahs of South Africa. Life's Story two is a factual and visual feast from beginning to end. It takes you on an incredible documentary journey of discovery to unravel some of the most amazing mysteries of the natural world. In this programme you will learn about the navigation techniques and defense mechanisms of marine life, the complex behaviour of birds, the differences between apes, monkeys and humans, "ape-men" mixing link hoaxes, and how some of the largest mammals feed and digest their food. Many unusual, rare and endangered species are featured in this programme including animal behaviour never filmed before. Suitable for audiences of about aged ten years of age to adults. Running Time 1 hour 43 minutes.

Wikipedia: Herping is the act of searching for amphibians or reptiles. The term, often used by professional and amateur herpetologists, comes from the word "herp", which comes from the same Greek root as herpetology, herpet-, meaning "creeping" _________________________________________ This is my personal compilation of footage I filmed for the feature length documentaries Herpers II (Costa Rica) and Herpers III (Arizona & New Mexico), directed by Dav Kaufman. In Costa Rica, I got to film the very vine that National Geographic had filmed on and trudged the same trails as BBC's Planet Earth. In Arizona and New Mexico we saw stunning sunsets and got bit by chiggers. While filming I had to make do with the gear given to me. Just me with an HVX200, a shotgun mic, a terrible tripod, occasionally a monopod, the director, his fellow herpetologist friend from the DNR, and whomever was with us there. From Costa Rica, to Arizona and New Mexico.. They were some of the best experiences in my life, as creepy as the crawlies were! Genuinely support us and see it in FULL QUALITY by receiving your very own DVDs! Each sequel is a stand alone film, so buy any one to watch, or all three. http://www.ophisentertainment.com/

In 2011 my camera and I travelled to Chitwan National Park in Nepal to promote the work of young aspiring conservation biologists and a unique program called EDGE, initiated by the Zoological Society of London. EDGE stands for Evolutionarily Distinct and Globally Endangered; in short focusing on the most threatened species on earth! During the course of two weeks I followed the biologist on every step they made. On this day we were looking for reptiles & amphibians in a predefined transect. Have a look what we found!
