John Condon and Mayor Bill Carpenter are creating a fictitious crisis and setting the stage to trade power plants for fire trucks. Don’t be fooled! Please share this video with your friends and family and support the Brockton Fire Department and your own public safety! John Condon and Mayor Bill Carpenter are using rehearsed political theater and unfortunately playing Russian roulette with the residents of Brockton and the good men and women of the Brockton Fire Department. They are using the Fire Department as a pawn to advance their one and only political agenda: being in collusion with the power plant and Aquaria. After the SJC ruling in early August, John Condon clearly told the Brockton Water Commission that we have no problems in capital markets. Just weeks later, Condon now has a different story in front of City Councilors. Doom and gloom. He is lying to the City Council and the residents. The frivolous power plant lawsuit is not a financial obstacle to the city purchasing a desperately needed ladder truck. John Condon has told municipal bondholders that judgment either for or against the City of Brockton will not have any effect on Brockton’s financial position. Yet he is telling the City Council otherwise. Demand that your City Councilors continue to stay firm and take a long look at John Condon’s credibility, honesty and track record of dire predictions to get his political agendas passed to the detriment of Brockton residents.
