      • Discipleship Abiding in Him

        from The_Watchman / Added

Discipleship and Abiding in Yeshua ha Massiach are two main foundation of our faith in the Lord. In these days Abiding or "remaining attached too" him whom we love and serve is paramount. Thus today Abiding and Discipleship find itself in the words of our Lord from John chapters 15-17. Discipleship and Abiding in Him; "Here we find comfort, teaching, and preparation for the times in which we live." In these days of perilousness, deception, and danger the words of our Lord "Abiding" in him is paramount. Joh 15:4- Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. Joh 15:5- I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. It is here in Discipleship and Abiding that the faith we have and our obedience are seen in the context of Branches. These Branches must bear fruit. These fruit bearing branches will be purged here by our Father in heaven. It is also in Discipleship that Abiding in Him is paramount for without our Lord, we can do nothing. The truth is we must be truly found in him, obedient in him and to his word, and then fruit will grow. Abiding, fruit producing, Discipleship for the end time in which we find ourselves. Abiding: Remain attached to branch cannot bear fruit of itself bring forth much fruit ask what you will, it shall be done Abiding and Discipleship: The Father is glorified: bear much fruit ye shall be my disciples example of love, continue in my love keep my commandments, abide in my love, example keep Fathers commands my joy might remain in you, your joy full Abiding and Discipleship Resources on WIBR/WARN: www.warn-usa.com www.warn-radio.com www.wingswatchman.org www.ddayforamerica.com www.dday4america.com

This Sunday we are going to be exploring John 15. Jesus is in the city of Jerusalem with his shortly before his death, and knowing that their world was about to be turned upside down, he tells his friends, "Remain in me." The key to living a healthy and productive life is to remain in Jesus. How do we do that? What would it look like for us to "remain" in Jesus in the midst of our meetings, projects, appointments, and practices? Is there more to life than just hanging on? I hope you'll join us this Sunday as we explore how the invitation of Jesus is not just an empty platitude but, lived out, can change the way we work and the way we live. Join us as we study the beginning portion of John 15. Today, our passage teaches us that Jesus is the vine and we are the branches and that apart from Him we can do nothing. This reality should urge us to abide in Him fully by putting our full trust and reliance upon Jesus and as we abide we will find that Christ's joy will remian in us and our joy will be full.

Sermon and hymns based on John 15:1-8. Jesus boldly states that He is the true Vine, a claim that makes Him either a liar, a lunatic, or Lord. Since He is truly Lord, then our response through the power of the Spirit will be to cling to Him by faith and become a living branch connected to Him.
