1. Greek Marble Initiative | 2nd Symposium season about to end

from MYRO VIDEO GALLERY / Added

As the 2nd Symposium of the Greek Marble Initiative is closing, several late-birds are still accomodated in its premises. Among them the world renowned sculptor Georgie Cpajak, the Romanian promising sculptor Ciprian Hopirtean, and the Greek Odysseas Tosounidis, and the mid-carrier sculptor John Bizas -Greek in origin, residing in Italy. The rainy weather, extreme winds and other similar climate outbreaks outcome several technical hardships, which in some cases prevent a normal conclusion; its characteristic that world renowned Bulgarian sculptor Kamen Tanev was forced to leave an unfinished sculpture, before going home for Christmas, and will be back to deliver it early in 2015. All these require that the ending process will be prolonged for some time for the weather to calm down and the sculptors to finish their work. For Etonnez Moi - (Astonish me) my solo show with Fehily Contemporary, I unveiled my latest huge bronze work 'felled' and my new porcelain work "Weapon of Mass Destruction". As these new works are a massive departure from my previous small scale altered ceramics I decided to create an immersive sound/video event to unveil the new work. Everyone was given a torch and asked to enter the pitch black gallery to find the artworks. I created a riot in the gallery! The works were revealed towards the end of the event. Check out my video to see for yourself.....
