A virtuous and serious silver craftsman his loyalty towards clergy is tested in unexpected circumstances in the year 1691. This short was made during a 72 hour film marathon in honor of the 350th anniversary of The Acadamy of Fine Arts the Antwerp. Parameters were: the story had to unfold in the year 1691 and some historical event of that year had to be incorporated in the story. A statue of the virgin Mary had to be used as a prop. Our team existed out of 4 people, we also acted ourselves. We were very proud to have made this in such a short time and we were rewarded the shared first prize of the competition. Everything was shot on a canon 5D and edited in premiere pro cs 6. Color grading was done with colorista II and magic bullet looks.

This is the opening minute or so of ALL OF THE ABOVE: SINGLE, CLERGY, MOTHER, an hour- long documentary about four single women’s decision to forge a family while balancing their careers as Jewish clergy. The film highlights the stories of Rabbi Lisa Gelber, Rabbi Julie Greenberg, Rabbi Felicia Sol, and cantorial student, musician, and Pharaoh's Daughter founder Basya Schechter —who struggle to fulfill the needs of their soul, their community, and their hearts by becoming single parents by choice. As Regina Jonas, the first female rabbi, said, “God has bestowed on each one of us special skills and vocations without stopping to ask after our gender.” But each one of these women—capable, strong, filled with faith, and single—is also filled with a need to parent.

The term "apostolic succession" refers to the line of bishops stretching back to the apostles. It is also linked to the validity of most sacraments, making it a very important issue. (More info below.) "Like" Answering Protestants on Facebook: http://facebook.com/AnsweringProtestants "Follow" me on Twitter: http://twitter.com/crucifixwearer "Leaders" were clearly important in the NT, as evidenced by what Paul writes in Hebrews 13:17... "Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account." Now, how does one become a "leader"? Does one become a leader through apostolic succession, or does one become a leader whenever they want to go off and start their own little church down the street? Christ had at least two important things to say to the apostles on the matter. Luke 22:28-30 (NASB) - "You are those who have stood by Me in My trials; and just as My Father has granted Me a kingdom, I grant you that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel." John 20:23 (NASB) - "If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained." From those two passages, we can gather that the apostles were given special authority. 2 Timothy 2:2 (NASB) - "The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." In that verse, Paul refers to the first three generations of apostolic succession—his own generation, Timothy's generation, and the generation Timothy will teach. This clearly indicates that authority gets passed on.
